Recent rooms

A bathroom, a walk-in pantry and a kitchen, out of six on the work page. All of them invented for this template.

All six projects

Kitchens and baths. That is the list.

We stopped quoting additions and ground-up houses years ago. Everything below starts with a measured drawing and ends with a list you sign.

Bathroom remodels

Bathrooms are the bulk of what we do, and the room where the order of work matters most. Waterproofing, blocking and the shower slope go in before anything that shows, and the glass is measured on site once the tile is set. Five to seven weeks is the usual run, and the house stays liveable for all of it.

Kitchen remodels

Cabinet runs drawn to the sixteenth, appliances sized before the boxes are ordered, and the plumbing and gas moved while the walls are open. If the layout you want needs a wall taken out, you hear that at the first visit.

02

Cabinetry, closets and pantries

Built-in pantry walls, closet fit-outs and bench seats, made by the same shop that makes our kitchens so the finishes match.

03

Tile, stone and glass

Waterproofing you will never see, slabs templated after the cabinets are in rather than before, and frameless screens measured on site.

04

Where we work

Nine towns across Orange County, the furthest about forty minutes from the workshop. Anything past that and we will say so on the phone rather than at the estimate.

  • Costa Mesa
  • Newport Beach
  • Irvine
  • Tustin
  • Orange
  • Laguna Beach
  • Aliso Viejo
  • Mission Viejo
  • San Clemente

Five stages, in this order.

  1. First visit

We look at the room, the plumbing and what is behind the walls, then tell you which of the things you want is going to cost the most.

  2. Drawings

A measured plan and an elevation, so you are choosing against something real rather than a mood board.

  3. Selections

Cabinets, tile, stone and fixtures all chosen and ordered before a single thing comes out.

  4. Build

Our carpenters demolish, frame and set the boxes. The trades follow a fixed order and never overlap.

  5. Punch list

We walk the room with you, write the list down, and finish it before the last invoice goes out.

I drew other people's kitchens for six years before I built one. It shows in the cabinet runs.

About Thea Brandt

Thea Brandt trained as an industrial designer and ran the design desk at a cabinet showroom before taking a licence of her own. She still draws every kitchen and every bathroom this company builds, and she is on the site the morning the cabinets go in.

How Cedarline started

Start with one room.

Twenty minutes on the phone gets you a visit in the diary. The drawing follows the visit, and the price follows the drawing.
