A newly built house at dusk with warm light in its windows
Ventura County

Fourteen people.
One job at a time.

Custom homes, additions and whole-house remodels across Ventura County. We run one or two builds at once, so the crew that frames your house is the crew that hangs the doors.

How we work

The schedule has two slots on it.

That is the whole constraint, and everything else follows from it. The person who priced your job is the person who answers the phone about it, and the carpenters are ours rather than a crew hired for the week.

Everything is bid off a written scope. If the scope changes you get a priced change order before anybody picks up a tool.

How a build runs

You get the number before we start.

Five stages, one person to call, and nothing changes price without your signature on it.

Site visit

We walk the lot or the house with you and say plainly what the work involves.

Scope

A written scope, room by room, before you pay an architect anything.

Estimate

A line-item price off that scope. Allowances are named, not buried.

City review

Submittal, the corrections round nobody budgets for, and every inspection booked.

On site

Framing to final. A note every Friday, and we pick up the phone for a year after the last one.

After a fire

Rebuilding is a different job.

If the house is gone, the first several months are insurance and paperwork rather than framing. That is where we start, and we do it in writing.

How a rebuild runs
  • A line-item scope your adjuster can price against
  • Soils, foundation and utilities tested before design starts
  • Built back to the code in force now, not the one the house was built under
